DOG ABANDONMENT AND ITS IMPACT ON SOCIETY - Leonor F.

I am interested in many issues but the one I choose to help in is dog abandonment and how it impacts our society. I choose this issue because I know that in Panama there are a lot of stray dogs that are abandoned every day. This can also impact us, yet not many people see that.

Dog abandonment can affect us with illnesses. rabies and their reproduction that can become uncontrollable and risky for all of us. For my action I choose to volunteer at an organization called Fundasis with kids from 4th, 5th, and 6th grade to teach them about this issue, why it affects and what we can do to help it stop. Helping dogs in need can really cause a change, I look forward to people making conscience with dog abandonment.
