OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES - Tomas T.

The thing that I am interested in is to give a opportunity to people with intellectual disability. I think that every kid with a intellectual disability should have a opportunity to do things like for example to have a proper job, or to be a great athlete. I also think that sports will help these kids develop muscle mass and also to help them learn how teamwork works. Intellectually disabled kids do not have as much opportunities as any ordinary kid because their parents don't want them to get hurt so they prefer their child to be in a closed area watching TV or something like that.

The organization I am working with is special olympics and my action was to volunteer and spent a morning with some student from the MET helping out with encouraging kids with sport type games.
